How this site is written and checked
I’m Judy White, and I write everything on Motivation Weight Loss. This page explains how an article gets from an idea to your screen, what I will and will not claim, and what to do if you spot a mistake.
Who writes the content
I write every article myself. I am not a doctor, nurse, dietitian or other medical professional. I’m a woman who lost weight on a GLP-1 medication and who reads the research and the drug labels so you can see them in plain language. You can read more about me on the author page and on the About page.
No doctor or dietitian reviews these articles before they are published. That is why you should treat everything here as general information and take medical questions to the clinician who prescribes your care.
Where the information comes from
- Drug labels and clinical trials. For medication pages I start with the FDA-approved label and the published trial results. I link to the source so you can read it yourself.
- Published research. When I state a health claim, I cite the study or the guideline next to it.
- My own experience. I mark my story as my story. One person’s result is not an average, and I put it next to the trial numbers so you can see the gap.
What I will not do
- Promise a result. Results vary a lot from person to person.
- Tell you to start, stop or change a medication or a dose.
- Call any product or brand “the best” without saying who it is best for and what the drawbacks are.
- Let a commission decide what I recommend. See the affiliate disclosure.
How an article is checked
- I write the draft from the sources above.
- Every health claim is checked against its source before the article goes live.
- Medication pages carry safety information and a reminder to talk to your prescriber.
- I add a “last reviewed” date and update it when I re-check the page.
Updates and corrections
Drug labels, prices and research change. I go back through articles and update them when something important changes. If you find an error or an out-of-date claim, please tell me through the contact page. I will check it against the source and fix it if you are right.
