This GobyMeds review comes down to one point: GobyMeds is a telehealth platform that connects you with independent medical groups, and it sells compounded and brand-name GLP-1 medication with its prices posted up front. It is not a medical practice itself, so the prescriber, the pharmacy and the refund rules all matter more than the logo. Everything below about the company comes from its own pages, read on October 15, 2026, and I say plainly where those pages leave a gap.
I am Judy. I am not a doctor or a registered dietitian, and this review is based on GobyMeds’ public pages and published research.
Is GobyMeds Legit?
It looks like an operating business with real disclosures, and it has weak spots. Its terms of service say it provides “a technology and administrative platform” and that medical care comes only from independent medical groups in its provider network. Its safety page names Beluga Health as its medical practitioner partner. A Dover, Delaware address appears in the footer of its legitimacy page.
That same legitimacy page says the company is LegitScript certified, but it gives no certificate number or verification link, so treat that as the company’s claim until you check it yourself. The terms also say you may not be able to choose your medical group, provider, pharmacy or laboratory.
What Pharmacy Does GobyMeds Use?
The homepage says your prescription goes to a 503A or 503B pharmacy partner licensed in your state. The safety page is more specific and names four pharmacies: Precision Medicine, HealthWarehouse.com, The Pharmacy Hub and Seven Cells Pharmacy. Neither page says which one will fill your order, so ask before you pay. The FDA tells patients to fill a prescription at a state-licensed pharmacy.
How Does GobyMeds Work?
The homepage lays out four steps: an online intake form, an evaluation by a licensed healthcare provider, a prescription sent to the pharmacy partner if you are approved, and shipping in cold-packed packaging. It says shipping is free, there are no membership fees, and it does not bill insurance. Because the provider decides whether treatment fits, approval is never a given.
Its terms say services are available only where the participating provider is licensed and where you are physically located at the time of care. The homepage does not list states, so confirm yours at checkout.
How Much Does GobyMeds Cost?
These prices are from the pricing page as read on October 15, 2026, and they change. Compounded semaglutide starts at $299 for a three-month starter bundle, which the page shows as $99 a month “starting at,” and single months start at $169. Compounded tirzepatide starts at $399 for a three-month starter, shown as $133 a month, with single months from $299. Bundles are described as including the medication, shipping, the consultation and an injection kit.
Prices rise with dose. The semaglutide three-month bundle runs from $299 at the lowest dose tier (0.2 to 0.4 mg) to $499 at the highest tier listed (1.9 to 2.3 mg), and the tirzepatide three-month bundle runs from $399 to $599. One Trustpilot reviewer wrote that the monthly cost went to $299 or more after the starter period, so budget for your likely dose, not the headline number. The same page lists brand-name Zepbound at $1,399 a month and Wegovy at $1,695 a month. For the wider picture, see how much Ozempic costs.
Is GobyMeds Compounded Semaglutide FDA Approved?
No. GobyMeds says on its safety page that compounded drugs are not FDA approved, and the FDA says the same: it does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are marketed. The FDA also reports adverse events, some needing hospitalization, that may relate to dosing errors with compounded injectable semaglutide.
The brand-name versions are different drugs with FDA-approved labels. If the difference between them matters to you, read Ozempic vs Wegovy.
How Much Weight Can You Lose on Semaglutide or Tirzepatide?
The trials were done on the brand-name drugs, not on GobyMeds’ compounded products, so no trial tells you what a compounded version does. In the STEP 1 trial of 1,961 adults with a BMI of 30 or more (27 or more with a weight-related condition) and no diabetes, those on semaglutide 2.4 mg lost a mean of 14.9% of body weight over 68 weeks, against 2.4% on placebo, and both groups also had lifestyle support. In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults with a BMI of 30 or more (27 or more with a weight-related complication) and no diabetes, tirzepatide produced mean losses of 15.0%, 19.5% and 20.9% at 5, 10 and 15 mg over 72 weeks, against 3.1% on placebo.
My experience, not medical advice: I was 47 and about 68 pounds overweight when I started GLP-1 injections in May 2024, and I lost 31 pounds in 14 months. Individual results vary, and mine is one data point.
What Are the Side Effects and Who Should Not Take It?
The GobyMeds safety page does not list side effects or contraindications, and it links to FDA labels instead. The Wegovy label carries a boxed warning that semaglutide caused thyroid C-cell tumors in rodents and that it is unknown whether it does in humans. It is contraindicated with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2. It also warns of pancreatitis and gallbladder disease, and lists nausea, diarrhea, vomiting and constipation among the most common reactions.
That label covers the brand-name drug. Tell your prescriber about every medicine you take and your full history. For more, read Ozempic side effects.
What Is the GobyMeds Refund Policy?
The refund rules are not simple, and the homepage FAQ and the terms describe refunds differently. The terms say that if you cancel before clinical review begins and before any lab order is sent, you get a full refund, and that if the provider does not prescribe, there is no consultation fee. If you cancel after review, GobyMeds may keep a $50 consultation fee or the amount shown at checkout. Once the pharmacy releases the medication, the medication portion generally cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded, and refunds for lost or stolen packages are generally unavailable.
The homepage FAQ goes further and says all prescriptions are final sale and non-refundable. Screenshot both pages before you pay.
What Do GobyMeds Customers Say?
On Trustpilot, GobyMeds showed a TrustScore of 4.6 out of 5 from 1,214 reviews on October 15, 2026, with 83% five-star and 6% one-star. Complaints I saw in the visible reviews included a confusing order process, limited follow-up from medical staff, a vial that arrived hot and a higher monthly cost after the starter period. A star rating measures service and not whether a medication suits you.
Where Does GobyMeds Fall Short?
Here are the gaps. You cannot count on choosing your prescriber or pharmacy. The homepage FAQ is blunter than the terms on refunds. The LegitScript claim has no verification link on the page that makes it. There is no insurance billing, so a plan that covers a GLP-1 may cost you less elsewhere. Compounded products have no FDA review, and the weight-loss trials above do not apply to them directly.
Is GobyMeds Worth Trying?
It can be a reasonable option if you want posted prices, as long as you accept those limits. The guide to how to get GLP-1 online shows what any telehealth process should look like. If you decide to try it, you can start with GobyMeds here, and I earn a commission if you sign up through that link. A licensed clinician decides whether treatment is right for you, and that decision is the whole point of the intake. GobyMeds uses one general registration page for all of its products, so this link opens an account sign-up, not a page about one treatment. After you create an account, you can start a consultation for the treatment you want.
Medical disclaimer: I share public information and my own experience, and I am not a medical professional. Talk to your own prescriber before you start, change or stop any medication, especially if you have thyroid, pancreas or gallbladder history.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does GobyMeds charge a consultation fee?
The homepage lists no consultation fee, and the starter bundles include the consultation. Under the terms, a $50 fee, or the amount shown at checkout, may apply if you cancel after clinical review, and none applies if the provider declines to prescribe.
Can you choose your own provider at GobyMeds?
Not necessarily. The terms say you may not be able to choose the medical group, participating provider, pharmacy or laboratory, so ask who your prescriber is before you pay.
Does GobyMeds accept HSA or FSA cards?
Yes, the homepage says HSA and FSA cards are accepted, along with major credit cards. It also says GobyMeds does not bill insurance, so you pay out of pocket first.
Is GobyMeds safe?
The company states that compounded drugs are not FDA approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are marketed. Safety also depends on the prescriber, the pharmacy and your own health history, so review all three with a clinician.
Does GobyMeds ship to every state?
The pages I read do not list states. The terms limit service to places where the participating provider is licensed and where you are located at the time of care, so confirm your state before paying.
Is GobyMeds approved by the FDA?
The FDA approves drugs, not telehealth platforms. GobyMeds sells compounded medication, which is not FDA approved, and brand-name drugs, which carry approved labels.
